Visit Nummeehquantamūmun
Visit Nummeehquantamūmun as nia holley, Nipmuc, reintroduces corn in the Museum’s interior courtyard as a process to reawaken the mortar and return corn to this place. This mortar is one of many mortars held by the Concord Museum that have been used for a variety of purposes by Indigenous communities, including processing food, medicines, and pigments. Lafayette is Coming to Concord!
Join the Wright Tavern and First Parish as they welcome a reenactor of Lafayette to Concord. There will be presentations by renowned author and expert on the American Revolution, Robert A. Gross, as well as the Executive Director of the Robbins House, Jen Turner, and Director of the Concord Prison Outreach Project, Sam Williams. Refreshments will be served in the Wright Tavern.
