Visit the exhibition Revolutionary Legacies at Concord Museum. How have we remembered April 19, 1775, and the American Revolution over the past 250 years? Featuring commemorative ephemera, unique relics, artworks, personal objects, and contemporary works that respond to the Revolution’s legacy, this special exhibition asks what we choose to remember—and what has been left out—as the public looks back to the founding of our nation. 

The Umbrella Arts Center of Concord, MA, presents its second Ceramics Biennial Exhibition, “Earthworks: Evolution”, a regional show celebrating the depth of history, tradition, and cultural expression in contemporary ceramics, and the ways in which artists continue to expand the field through innovation and reinterpretation.

Eight Artist‑Designed Pianos to Pop Up Across Concord This Spring. Get ready to play!  The Concord Conservatory of Music (CCM) is bringing music to the streets with Pianos on the Town—eight brightly painted upright pianos placed in public spots across Concord and West Concord for anyone to enjoy. The celebration kicks off with a lively “Piano Xtravaganza” on Saturday, May 30, at 10:30 AM at Brookside Square.

“The Future of Democracy”  A live, interview-style conversation with Danielle Allen, Harvard professor and director of the Allen Lab for Democratic Renovation. Kick off the weekend with big ideas and a thoughtful discussion of what we can do to shape the future of democracy.

Join us for a wine/cheese open house for our new exhibition, Rooted in the Woods: The Boundless Life and Writings of Henry David Thoreau.

About the exhibition: Henry David Thoreau lived a boundless life, yet one that was deeply connected to nature; in particular, the woods surrounding Walden Pond. The Walden Woods Project Library is positioned in that same forest where Thoreau discovered his love of the natural world. This is the first of two exhibitions curated in connection with the Ewers Brothers Production, Henry David Thoreau, executive produced by Ken Burns and Don Henley, which premiered on March 30, 2026, on PBS stations nationwide.

Back by popular demand, Native Concordian, world-renowned naturalist, lecturer, birder, and author Peter Alden will present his new memoir, My Wild Life: Rare Birds, Close Calls, and the Adventures of an Eco-Explorer. Book signing will follow.

Alden will share stories and photos from decades of travel to over 100 countries and seven continents.

Tour Old Hill Burial Ground and learn about the Revolutionary War soldiers buried in Concord’s oldest cemetery. Visit the final resting place of some of the most well-known figures from April 19, 1775, including Emerson Cogswell, Colonel Barrett, and Captain David Brown. This tour includes about 1 mile of walking on hilly, unpaved terrain. $15 Members | $25 Non-Members. Includes same-day admission to the Concord Museum.
