April 2025 marks the 250th anniversary of the start of the American Revolution, and you can be a part of this historic moment.

Historians, archivists, scholars, and others rely on the availability and accuracy of historical documents. Transcribing those documents is a vital step in ensuring that information is readily available. This is your chance to help by transcribing those records. You may even be the first person in 200 years to learn the stories of the men and women who helped found our nation!

The National Park Service (NPS) and the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) are launching an extraordinary project to transcribe the pension records of more than 80,000 of America’s first veterans and their widows. The project will make a permanent contribution to the historical record for the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.
